Fire Door Tagging & Asset Registers
Fire Door Tagging & Asset Registers: Fire door tagging gives every fire door a unique, durable ID tag, usually on the top or hinge edge, linked to a register entry holding its location, rating, components, photos and inspection history.
Without a register, every inspection starts from scratch. With one, you can see which doors failed last quarter, which keep failing, and exactly where door 3-14 is. Tagging is done once, usually on the first inspection, and makes every later check faster and more reliable.

What's included?
- Durable ID tag fitted to each door
- Register entry for location, rating, size and hardware
- Photos of both faces and key components
- Inspection history and remedial records against each door
- Export to spreadsheet for your own systems
- Floor plans marked with door references where provided
When do you need fire door tagging?
- You have no reliable list of fire doors in the building
- Different contractors use different door numbers
- You need to evidence repeated checks on the same doors
- You manage several buildings and need one record

Fire Door Tagging & Asset Registers: questions
Where is the tag fitted?
Usually on the top edge or hinge edge of the leaf, where it can be read without affecting the door's seals or performance.
Can I keep using my own door numbers?
Yes. We can adopt your existing references or map them to new tags.
What format is the register?
A spreadsheet export is always provided, with photos. It can be imported into most asset and compliance systems.
Does tagging change the fire rating?
No. Tags are small, fixed with short pins or adhesive in positions that do not affect the door's construction.
