Questions from Newport clients

Do you provide paperwork?

Yes. You receive the product's certification or test evidence, an installation record and photographs for each door.

What do FD30 and FD60 mean?

They describe how long the door is designed to resist fire in a test: 30 or 60 minutes. An S after the rating, such as FD30S, means the door also controls the passage of cold smoke.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Newport (Isle of Wight)?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Newport (Isle of Wight) is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Do you work in occupied buildings in Newport (Isle of Wight)?

Yes. Inspections and repairs in Newport (Isle of Wight) can be carried out in occupied flats, schools, care homes and workplaces, with doors kept closable at all times.
