Fire Door Closer Repairs in Ormskirk

Whether it is a block of flats, a school or a care home in Ormskirk, our fire door closer repairs follow the same door-by-door method and report format.

Ormskirk FAQs

Can you price remedial work in Ormskirk from another company's report?

Yes. Send the report and we will price each line for your building in Ormskirk, or revisit specific doors if the report lacks detail.

What closer does a fire door need?

A closer tested to BS EN 1154 with a power size suited to the door's width and weight, and evidence it can be used on the door type. Concealed closers need specific test evidence for the door.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Ormskirk?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Ormskirk is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Why won't my fire door close properly?

Common causes are a closer set too weak, a latch out of line with the keep, dropped hinges, a seal binding at the edge, or flooring that has raised the threshold. We find the cause before adjusting the closer.
