Fire doors for housing associations & local authorities
Programme-scale inspections, costed surveys and remedial works across whole estates.
Social landlords manage thousands of fire doors across general needs, sheltered and supported housing. What they need is consistency: the same door references, the same defect grading and the same reporting format across every building, so programmes can be budgeted and evidenced to the regulator and residents.
What do housing associations & local authorities typically need?
- Estate-wide surveys with defect grading and budget costs
- Consistent door IDs and registers across the stock
- Remedial programmes with photo sign-off per door
- Resident communication for flat door access

Questions we're asked
What is the difference between a fire door inspection and a survey?
An inspection records whether each door passes or fails. A survey goes further: it grades each defect, recommends repair, upgrade or replacement, and costs the work so you can budget.
Can the survey support a section 20 consultation?
Yes. The costed schedule gives a clear description of the proposed works and their budget, which you can use when consulting leaseholders. Formal consultation remains the landlord's responsibility.
Where is the tag fitted?
Usually on the top edge or hinge edge of the leaf, where it can be read without affecting the door's seals or performance.
Can I keep using my own door numbers?
Yes. We can adopt your existing references or map them to new tags.
