Common questions in Bognor Regis

Do you work in occupied buildings in Bognor Regis?

Yes. Inspections and repairs in Bognor Regis can be carried out in occupied flats, schools, care homes and workplaces, with doors kept closable at all times.

What records do I get?

A dated log for every visit listing each door, its result and photos of anything that has changed or failed.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Bognor Regis?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Bognor Regis is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Does the person doing the check have to be certificated?

The government fact sheet says the responsible person should be able to do the basic checks themselves and that a specialist is not needed for them. Many responsible persons still outsource the checks to make sure they happen on time and are properly recorded.
