Questions from Finchley clients

Can you check the doors from the corridor only?

Part of the check can be done from outside, but the self-closer and the inside face need access to the flat. Where we cannot get in we record what was checked and why the rest was not possible.

What does best endeavours mean?

The government fact sheet describes it as the responsible person deciding how to engage residents to gain access and keeping evidence, such as correspondence, where access is refused or not possible.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Finchley?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Finchley is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Can you price remedial work in Finchley from another company's report?

Yes. Send the report and we will price each line for your building in Finchley, or revisit specific doors if the report lacks detail.
