Fire Door Surveys in Surrey
Across Surrey, from Woking to smaller towns and villages, we carry out fire door surveys for landlords, housing providers, schools and businesses.
Fire Door Surveys: A fire door survey is a more detailed version of an inspection, used when you need to plan and budget: it grades every defect by urgency, decides whether each door should be repaired, upgraded or replaced, and turns the findings into a costed schedule of works.

Fire Door Surveys in Surrey: questions
Can the survey support a section 20 consultation?
Yes. The costed schedule gives a clear description of the proposed works and their budget, which you can use when consulting leaseholders. Formal consultation remains the landlord's responsibility.
Do you measure for new doors during the survey?
Where a door is likely to need replacing we record the leaf and opening sizes, so a replacement quotation can follow without a second visit in most cases.
Which fire safety law applies in Surrey?
Surrey is in England, so the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies, together with the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 for multi-occupied residential buildings.
How quickly can you inspect fire doors in Surrey?
It depends on the number of doors and access. Tell us what you need and we will give you the earliest date when you call, and confirm it in writing.
