Fire Door Surveys in Burnham-on-Sea

From the TA8 district outwards, we cover Burnham-on-Sea and neighbouring towns such as Weston-super-Mare and Bridgwater for fire door surveys.

A fire door survey is a more detailed version of an inspection, used when you need to plan and budget: it grades every defect by urgency, decides whether each door should be repaired, upgraded or replaced, and turns the findings into a costed schedule of works. Questions from Burnham-on-Sea clients

How quickly can you inspect fire doors in Burnham-on-Sea?

It depends on the number of doors and access. Tell us what you need and we will give you the earliest date when you call, and confirm it in writing.

Which fire safety law applies in Burnham-on-Sea?

Burnham-on-Sea is in England, so the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies, together with the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 for multi-occupied residential buildings.

What is the difference between a fire door inspection and a survey?

An inspection records whether each door passes or fails. A survey goes further: it grades each defect, recommends repair, upgrade or replacement, and costs the work so you can budget.

Can the survey support a section 20 consultation?

Yes. The costed schedule gives a clear description of the proposed works and their budget, which you can use when consulting leaseholders. Formal consultation remains the landlord's responsibility.
