Fire Door Repairs in Chichester

Chichester landlords, managing agents and facilities teams can book fire door repairs with straightforward reports and fixed prices.

A fire door repair fixes a specific fault on a fire door, such as a broken closer, missing seal, loose hinge or damaged edge, so the door can again close, latch and resist fire and smoke as it was designed to. We use the same method for buildings in Chichester.

Fire Door Repairs in Chichester: questions

Do you work in occupied buildings in Chichester?

Yes. Inspections and repairs in Chichester can be carried out in occupied flats, schools, care homes and workplaces, with doors kept closable at all times.

Can you repair a fire door from photos?

We can usually diagnose and price common faults from clear photos of the whole door, the edges and the hardware. Some faults, such as a warped leaf, need a site visit to measure.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Chichester?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Chichester is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Can you fill a large gap with extra intumescent strip?

Not as a general fix. Gaps outside tolerance are usually corrected by re-hanging, lipping or adjusting the frame, because oversized intumescent strips are not a substitute for a door that fits.
