Fire Door Repairs in South Croydon

We provide fire door repairs for buildings in South Croydon and the CR2 postcode district, from single doors to whole blocks and estates.

A fire door repair fixes a specific fault on a fire door, such as a broken closer, missing seal, loose hinge or damaged edge, so the door can again close, latch and resist fire and smoke as it was designed to. We use the same method for buildings in South Croydon.

Common questions in South Croydon

Do you use the original manufacturer's parts?

Where they are available and appropriate. Otherwise we use components with suitable fire test evidence for the door type.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in South Croydon?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. South Croydon is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Can you fill a large gap with extra intumescent strip?

Not as a general fix. Gaps outside tolerance are usually corrected by re-hanging, lipping or adjusting the frame, because oversized intumescent strips are not a substitute for a door that fits.

Do you cover the area around South Croydon?

Yes. As well as South Croydon itself we cover nearby towns including Croydon, Purley and Wallington.
