Common questions in Gateshead

Will the door still be a certified fire door after repair?

The aim of remedial work is to restore the door's original performance using compatible components and methods. Where a repair would go outside what the door's evidence supports, we will recommend replacement instead.

Do you work in occupied buildings in Gateshead?

Yes. Inspections and repairs in Gateshead can be carried out in occupied flats, schools, care homes and workplaces, with doors kept closable at all times.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Gateshead?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Gateshead is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Can you price remedial work from someone else's inspection report?

Yes. Send the report and we will price each line. If the report lacks the detail needed, such as gap readings or photos, we will say which doors need a quick revisit before we can price them.
