Need a fire door installation in Briton Ferry? Tell us the building and roughly how many doors, and we will confirm a fixed price before booking.

Fire door installation is the supply and fitting of a fire-resisting door, ideally as a complete doorset of leaf, frame, seals and hardware, installed exactly as its test evidence and the manufacturer's instructions require, so the finished door performs as tested. Common questions in Briton Ferry

Which fire safety law applies in Briton Ferry?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, and the Fire Safety Act 2021 confirmed flat entrance doors in multi-occupied residential buildings are within scope.

What is the difference between a fire door and a fire doorset?

A fire door often means just the leaf. A doorset is the complete assembly, leaf, frame, seals and hardware, tested and supplied together. Doorsets remove much of the guesswork from installation and are usually the better choice for replacements.

Do you work in occupied buildings in Briton Ferry?

Yes. Inspections and repairs in Briton Ferry can be carried out in occupied flats, schools, care homes and workplaces, with doors kept closable at all times.

Can you fit a fire door into the existing frame?

Sometimes, if the frame is sound, compatible with the new leaf and the leaf's evidence allows it. Often a complete doorset is cheaper over the door's life and easier to evidence.
