Fire Door Installation in Sunderland

Whether it is a block of flats, a school or a care home in Sunderland, our fire door installations follow the same door-by-door method and report format.

Fire door installation is the supply and fitting of a fire-resisting door, ideally as a complete doorset of leaf, frame, seals and hardware, installed exactly as its test evidence and the manufacturer's instructions require, so the finished door performs as tested.

Common questions in Sunderland

Do you provide paperwork?

Yes. You receive the product's certification or test evidence, an installation record and photographs for each door.

What is the difference between a fire door and a fire doorset?

A fire door often means just the leaf. A doorset is the complete assembly, leaf, frame, seals and hardware, tested and supplied together. Doorsets remove much of the guesswork from installation and are usually the better choice for replacements.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Sunderland?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Sunderland is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Do you cover the area around Sunderland?

Yes. As well as Sunderland itself we cover nearby towns including Seaham, Washington and Houghton-Le-Spring.
