Fire Door Installation in Wishaw: questions

Can you fit a fire door into the existing frame?

Sometimes, if the frame is sound, compatible with the new leaf and the leaf's evidence allows it. Often a complete doorset is cheaper over the door's life and easier to evidence.

Do you work in occupied buildings in Wishaw?

Yes. Inspections and repairs in Wishaw can be carried out in occupied flats, schools, care homes and workplaces, with doors kept closable at all times.

What is the difference between a fire door and a fire doorset?

A fire door often means just the leaf. A doorset is the complete assembly, leaf, frame, seals and hardware, tested and supplied together. Doorsets remove much of the guesswork from installation and are usually the better choice for replacements.

Which fire safety law applies in Wishaw?

In Scotland, fire safety duties for workplaces, HMOs and other non-domestic premises come from the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006, with new work designed to the Scottish building standards.
