Common questions in Swanley

How quickly can you inspect fire doors in Swanley?

It depends on the number of doors and access. Tell us what you need and we will give you the earliest date when you call, and confirm it in writing.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Swanley?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Swanley is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Can you fit a fire door into the existing frame?

Sometimes, if the frame is sound, compatible with the new leaf and the leaf's evidence allows it. Often a complete doorset is cheaper over the door's life and easier to evidence.

What is the difference between a fire door and a fire doorset?

A fire door often means just the leaf. A doorset is the complete assembly, leaf, frame, seals and hardware, tested and supplied together. Doorsets remove much of the guesswork from installation and are usually the better choice for replacements.
