Fire Door Installation in Dagenham

Responsible persons in Dagenham can book fire door installations with clear reports, useful photos and itemised prices.

Fire door installation is the supply and fitting of a fire-resisting door, ideally as a complete doorset of leaf, frame, seals and hardware, installed exactly as its test evidence and the manufacturer's instructions require, so the finished door performs as tested. Dagenham FAQs

What do FD30 and FD60 mean?

They describe how long the door is designed to resist fire in a test: 30 or 60 minutes. An S after the rating, such as FD30S, means the door also controls the passage of cold smoke.

What is the difference between a fire door and a fire doorset?

A fire door often means just the leaf. A doorset is the complete assembly, leaf, frame, seals and hardware, tested and supplied together. Doorsets remove much of the guesswork from installation and are usually the better choice for replacements.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in Dagenham?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. Dagenham is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

Do you cover the area around Dagenham?
