Fire door ironmongery is the hardware on a fire door, hinges, latches, locks, handles, closers, letter plates and spy holes, which must be suitable for use on fire doors so it does not create a weak point when the door is exposed to fire. We use the same method for buildings in Eltham.

Can I fit any lock to a fire door?

No. The lock must be suitable for fire doors and fitted within the size limits of the door's evidence, often with intumescent protection around the mortice.

How quickly can you inspect fire doors in Eltham?

It depends on the number of doors and access. Tell us what you need and we will give you the earliest date when you call, and confirm it in writing.
