Common questions in North Shields

Is a temporary repair enough?

A make-safe gets the door closing and latching. It is recorded as temporary until a permanent repair or replacement restores the door's certified performance.

Does regulation 10 apply to buildings in North Shields?

Yes, if the building is a multi-occupied residential building with storeys over 11 metres. North Shields is in England, so the quarterly communal door checks and annual flat entrance door checks apply to those buildings.

What if the door cannot be made safe?

We will advise on immediate measures and inform the responsible person so the fire risk assessor can decide on interim arrangements.

Can you price remedial work in North Shields from another company's report?

Yes. Send the report and we will price each line for your building in North Shields, or revisit specific doors if the report lacks detail.
